Situational Parenting
One of the great challenges of parenting is to bring to our children the type
of love and direction they need when they need it. Sometimes our kids need correction
and admonishment. At other times they desperately need encouragement and support
because life is hard - especially when you are young.
In I Thessalonians 5:13-14 the Apostle Paul suggests that
in course of human relationships we need to be flexible to assess what our
children need at any given moment and then bring what’s needed.
“Live in peace with one another.
And we urge you, brothers, admonish
the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help
the weak, be patient with all men. See that no one repays another
with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another
and for all men.” I Thessalonians 5:13-15
THE CHALLENGE OF PARENTING = knowing which to do when...
• admonish the unruly
• encourage
the fainthearted
• help the weak..…while
being patient all the time
In this message learn to personalize your parenting and discover how to be
flexible as you assess your kids present needs and then apply your resources
to his or her need.
